Seow Ping has been in the financial industry for more than 25 years, with experiences in the insurance, banking and investment sectors.
Seow Ping started out in the training department of Keppel Insurance and was transferred to Keppel Bank to spearhead the development of Bancassurance and eventually progressed to head the Marketing, Product Development and Training function in the Wealth Management Division. She was also a Relationship Manager in the Priority Banking Division of Keppel Bank.
Seow Ping was part of the pioneer team in Aviva that started the Bancassurance Partnership with DBS. She was in charge of Wealth Accumulation Propositions and conducted training bank-wide for DBS and POSB RMs and front-line staff. When DBS Hong Kong launched bancassurance, she was sent to Hong Kong to conduct training for the staff too.
As part of the Regional Strategic Planning team in Great Eastern, Seow Ping spearheaded the Bancassurance project in Indonesia and sealed the agreement with Bank NISP (which later became Bank OCBC-NISP). Besides re-engineering to profit-making products and revamping marketing campaigns, she also trained the Business Development Managers on how to manage sales and improve productivity.
She subsequently moved to the Investment sector, starting with Amundi Asset Management, followed by Fullerton Fund Management. She brought along skillsets of developing marketing materials that are easier for consumers to understand, equipping Relationship Managers and Financial Advisors with effective sales-tools, revamping training materials to be more customer-centric and conducting training for the Business Development teams.
Currently, Seow Ping is an Associate Consultant with Monochrome Learning Solutions. She has conducted many runs of HCPC and CCWC for the public and financial institutions. She is also a consultant working with Financial Institutions where she has developed a Brand and Marketing strategy, as well as a training curriculum and training manuals to build foundation and the advisory sales process for the mass, mass affluent and high networth customer segments.
Having been in sales and marketing, coupled with deep understanding of the financial industry and products, Seow Ping is an engaging and passionate trainer who ensures that her trainees understand the skillsets and are able to successfully apply them in their job function.
Seow Ping obtained her MBA from the University of Strathclyde and BSc from National University of Singapore with a major in Economics. She has the Diploma in Life Insurance and certification in HI, M5, M6A, M8A, M9, M9A. She also attended a Management Acceleration Programme with Insead in Fountain Bleu, France. She is currently pursuing her ACLP (WSQ, Advanced Certificate in Learning and Development).
